On infancy and innocence
This post will more than likely be more about myself and the universe than the title would lead you to believe. But mostly it’s about osmosis. You see I just came home and I have a brand new nephew. He isn’t my first, his mother already had another, but I missed most of his infancy. He’s 2 now and an unstoppable force. But this time around, with this one, I get to see and...

Wondering who all is going to be at the Philly Radiohead show. Maybe going solo will be one of those surreal unforgettable moments.

Thus begins evening number 7 of no sleep desire. Two movies, four chapters, and some pages of writing. Now to listen to some music.

Contrast: country bumpkin
Drove around the country today with my mother. Took everything in, all the changes and similarities while occasionally stopping to take calls from head hunters trying to woo me to New York. It’s funny that trying to simplify my life has led to a place where I have to choose between my personal happiness and a 95k salary. Such a contrast. I’m sure there are plenty of people that would...

Here’s a typical day in Brazoria, Texas, according to its sheriff: When William Johnson made a couple of suspicious U-Turns at the intersection of Texas 35 and 288 early Sunday a state trooper pulled him over. Then the trooper noticed a 6-foot alligator contentedly riding next to the back window of Johnson’s car. Johnson said he found the gator on the side of a road. But it was allegations that...

Four Nights of Insomnia
I have not been able to go to sleep before 3am for the last four days. It isn’t often that I deal with sleeplessness, but every time I do, it’s the feeling of utter non-tiredness that freaks me out. It will be 4 in the morning and I will have no sensation of sleepiness at all. Granted, last night I think I went to sleep at 2:30, but I was angry so I had been laying in bed for 2 hours...

Focus
I kind of want to turn this thing into something more. Something of specific use as opposed to just random findings and thoughts. Maybe it will be to point out the weirdness of moving home to a rural area after 7 years of big city life. Maybe it will be to chronicle strange things I take pictures of, or to show only things I create. I don’t know quite yet, maybe I’ll change my mind,...

Hello
Hi Pennsylvania. I’m back, and this time it’s not just for a week or two. I know I said this wasn’t going to happen, but so it goes. So now, don’t be surprised if you see me around. I don’t have much to do for a month or two until I figure things out. Namely where to get decent food and coffee. Good luck to me.

LIES I'VE TOLD MY 3 YEAR OLD RECENTLY
Trees talk to each other at night. All fish are named either Lorna or Jack. Before your eyeballs fall out from watching too much TV, they get very loose. Tiny bears live in drain pipes. If you are very very quiet you can hear the clouds rub against the sky. The moon and the sun had a fight a long time ago. Everyone knows at least one secret language. When nobody is looking, I can fly. We...
